Meeting the challenges of aging - with mindfulness

In this very special 6-week course we will explore how to cultivate resilience and well-being as we age, drawing on mindfulness as a powerful tool and resource.

Build on the mindfulness skills you've already developed

If you've found your way to this webpage, you probably have already built a substantial foundation of mindfulness skills. (If not, check out my MBSR program!) Here we’ll explore applying them specifically to the challenges and opportunities that arise with aging.

We'll explore mindfulness for important areas such as:

Mindfulness meditation

As a class and as part of home practice with provided recordings, we’ll practice mindfulness meditation. These meditations will tie in with themes of the program and also generally support health and wellness.

The importance of community for mindful aging

In addition to mindfulness skills, you'll also have a chance to connect with a supportive community of mindfulness practitioners through large and small group discussions. Our relationships can be one of the most important factors that have bearing on a longer lifespan and, more importantly, our health-span.
