How can we support resilience and relieve teacher burnout?

Did you know that 55 percent of educators are thinking about leaving the profession earlier than they had planned? Burnout has reached a critical level where overwhelm, anxiety, burnout and emotional fatigue is widespread, especially among educators. This month I was offered the opportunity to be among a panel of 21 experts offering in a free resource called the Resilience Toolbox for Teachers. This is a cause near and dear to my heart since receiving my Masters of Eduction degree six years ago.

I recently had the good fortune to meet Carissa Conner who, after working in the Health and Wellness sector for 20 years, began working closely with teachers in local districts to support their resilience amid the prevalent and wide spread burnout. On a personal level, her sons had struggled with the online learning environment and then her youngest experienced deep depression including self harm and suicidal thoughts. This brought Carissa into closer connection and teamwork with the Teachers and Staff. They were the eyes and ears while he was at school.

Inspired by conversations she's had with these teachers and her own experience as a parent of schoolchildren, she took on the mission of supporting teachers wellbeing across the country and around the world with the resource she developed called the Resilience Toolbox for Teachers.

Teachers are being supported in learning, not only why it's so important for them to focus on their well-being, physically, mentally and emotionally, but how. Bite size action steps can move them closer to the health, energy and enthusiasm they deserve. And on top of this - they can receive contact hours for participating in this free series!

This month I and 20 fellow experts are sharing key techniques to support Stress Management, Overwhelm, Anxiety, Improved Relationships, Healthy Eating and Movement to increase your energy. I promise you will come away from this interview series feeling empowered, inspired and confident to take charge of your health and well-being.

The interview series will run May 24, 25 and 26th from 9am-4pm PST, these interviews have been pre-recorded and will be released over the 3 days. Registration is free and I hope you will sign up and spread the word! Click here to sign up.
